What to include in your message
A few details speed up the process: the general neighborhood or nearest cross street, the age of the roof if you know it, what you are seeing and when it started, and whether an insurance claim is already open. None of that is required, but each detail saves a round of back-and-forth before the first visit.
Photos from the ground help even when they are blurry. A shingle in the yard, a ceiling stain, or a gutter pulling away from the fascia tells us what to expect and what to bring.
What happens after you reach out
You get a response proposing an inspection window. During storm season that window may run a few days out, since the whole metro tends to call at once and active leaks go first. At the inspection, we walk the roof, photograph what we find, and talk through it with you on the spot, followed by a written scope.
There is no obligation attached to the inspection itself, and you keep the written scope either way.
Active leaks
If water is coming through a ceiling right now, say so first when you reach out. Active leaks move to the front of the schedule for a temporary dry-in, a tarp or patch that stops the water until the permanent repair can be scheduled properly.
